Empowerline.org

The Atlanta Regional Commission (ARC) includes divisions devoted to the issue of aging and disabilities, providing research, information and support to those citizens in this area. ARC provides “empowerline,” a website managed by the its Aging and Independence Services Group.

The website contains a very comprehensive listing of services and opportunities available to those who are aging and to those who have
disabilities living in the Atlanta region. The ARC says: “We envision the Atlanta region as a place where people of all ages, abilities, and income can live high quality lives. We call it well designed well-being.”

This website is a great way to look for answers to many questions the disability community has and a good place to start researching available services. Of particular note, there is information relevant to caregiver support and services.
